By bringing you together with experts to explore best practices and techniques for asphalt mixing plant operators, the Astec Advanced Customer Schools give you the skills you need to take service calls at your plant to zero.

The Astec Advanced Customer Schools cover more than any other asphalt industry training school. Expect to enhance your grasp of key aspects of plant maintenance and operation through a unique combination of lectures and extensive hands-on classes. Instructors include Astec and Heatec Engineers and Service Technicians with decades of eld experience. Breaks and evening events o er the opportunity to exchange infor- mation with fellow students, as well as with Astec service professionals and engineers.

Through a unique combination of lectures and hands-on simulators, the Astec Advanced Customer Schools cover more than any other asphalt industry training school. Instructors include Astec and Heatec engineers and service technicians with decades of field experience.

Breaks and evening events offer opportunities to exchange information with fellow students, as well as with Astec service professionals and engineers.

Our goal is to provide the most valuable experience for all school attendees. During four full days of training, instructors and attendees together will cover topics including:

  • PLC Hardware
  • Calibration
  • Segregation & AC Content
  • Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
  • Trunnion Adjustment
  • Drum Flighting

And all plant components including:

  • Cold Feed and Recycling
  • Drums
  • Heaters
  • Burners
  • Drag Conveyors and Silos
  • Baghouse and Airflows
  • Plant Controls

Your time at the Astec Advanced Customer Schools will also incorporate tours of the Astec and Heatec manufacturing facilities and burner demonstrations.


Registration is open September 26-30 for:

  • Week 1 January 9 - 12
  • Week 2 January 16 – 19
  • Week 3 January 30 - February 2 (limited spaces for French speakers)

Registration is open October 3-7 for:

  • Week 4 February 6 – 9 (limited spaces for French speakers)
  • Week 5 February 13 - 16 (limited spaces for Spanish speakers)
  • Week 6 February 20 - 23 (limited spaces for Spanish speakers)

Advanced Customer School students will spend a full day at the all new Heatec training facility to focus on heating and storage maintenance.

Dining & Entertainment

Each Morning...

Begining at 6:45 a.m., you will be met in the hotel lobby by your Astec guide who will escort you on a commercial bus to the Astec Training Center. At Astec, a hot breakfast buffet is served before school. Astec catered lunches are served on-site. Snacks and beverages are provided during class breaks. Each evening, group dining and entertainment events are planned. The evening events will be hosted on the first night by Astec Service, then Astec Parts and finally by Heatec.
