03/31/08: Astec, Inc. - Finalist for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Innovation Award
Astec Industries is a finalist for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Innovation Award. The new Double Barrel Green system earned Astec the recognition for producing "warm-mix" asphalt cement without the use of expensive additives. The Double Barrel Green system reduces smoke and emissions, decreases fuel consumption by 14% and increases productivity 14%.
