Chattanooga, TN based Astec, Inc. (Astec) exhibits March 11-15, 2008 at the ConExpo tradeshow held every three years in Las Vegas, NV. Astec, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a complete line of hot-mix asphalt facilities, components and parts as well as soil remediation equipment. Astec, Inc. plans to exhibit two 1/8th scale models, one of a relocatable hot mix asphalt facility and one of a portable facility. Astec also plans to exhibit the new Double Barrel Green system for producing mix at lower temperatures, eliminating smoke and smell, reducing fuel consumption and increasing production.

Astec founder, Dr. J. Don Brock earned a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He then attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained his Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 1963 and a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1965.
Along with technologically advanced, top-of-the line product, Astec focuses on providing excellent service. The company dispatches its service personnel all over the globe to help set-up facilities and train operators. Six technicians staff the call-in service department and offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for hot mix plants. Additionally, Astec, Inc. maintains a large replacement parts inventory for Astec and other brands and fills part orders quickly and efficiently.
