The TC2000 gives operators instant and accurate control of all plant operations. It includes one or more personal computers running Microsoft Windows Professional, and the TC2000 uses a high-speed digital process field bus (PROFIBUS) to transfer data from each plant component in real time.

Divided into major tasks, or "modules," the TC2000 allows plant owners to customize the control system to their needs. Astec offers a full line of modules for HMA applications. Each module provides on-screen charts, graphics, and functions specific to its control application. Object linking and embedding (OLE) technology provides access to all data, so that it can be shared between programs as needed. And the TC2000 modules can be added and deleted as the operator's needs change, making the system easy to reconfigure and upgrade.
