Joseph Soliman joins Astec's International Sales team as the Director of Operations in the Middle East. Soliman has an extensive knowledge of the industry and the Middle East, and he speaks English, French, and Arabic, making him an excellent resource for customers in his territory. Soliman manages sales efforts in Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, and Libya. |

Astec also announces three recent additions to its United States and Canada sales team: Kirk John, David Peal, and Richard Draheim.

Kirk John serves as Regional Sales Manager for six Canadian Provinces: New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec. Russ Daigle has taken a well-earned retirement, and John has been training to take over is position for some time. Prior to joining Astec, John owned a Canadian company that supplied the latest products related to construction technology and construction services. |

David Peal joins Astec as Regional Sales Manager of the northwest United States and western Canada. His territory includes Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington, Wyoming, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territory, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, and Yukon. Having worked in the sales department for CMI, Peal has an extensive knowledge of the industry and Astec's products. |

Richard Draheim manages sales in the Upper Midwest Territory, serving customers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan. Draheim brings almost twenty years HMA industry experience to his new position, including his work at Roadtec, Inc. as Marketing Manager and an instructor in the hands-on Paving Professionals Workshop. |

Astec Competitive Parts Sales
|

In Astec's Competitive Parts Division, Greg Painter and Nick Popeck have joined the sales team. Both Painter and Popeck travel their territories by truck, carrying a full supply of parts with them to meet customers' immediate needs and to perform density testing on silo cones and drum shells.

Greg Painter currently serves as Regional Sales Manager for Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Astec is especially enthusiastic about Painter because of his hands-on experience in their manufacturing plant and as an estimator in the parts department. In all, Painter brings twenty-one years of experience with the company and its products to his new position. |

Nick Popeck, Competitive Parts Sales Manager for the northeastern United States, brings five years of industry experience in addition to his work in sales and marketing in the banking industry. Popeck manages sales for Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. |

Astec Used Equipment Sales

A recent addition to Astec, Inc.'s used equipment group is Sales Coordinator, Steve Pack. Before joining Astec in October of 2004, Pack worked with the Tennessee Valley Authority. In his new position, Pack will be in charge of preparing contracts and sales orders, in addition to coordinating the group's website as used equipment is added to Astec's growing inventory of used drum plants, batch plants, and related equipment. |
