Astec cold feed units are available for portable, relocatable and stationary facilities. These heavy-duty units meter the rock aggregate into the HMA production process and are built to give many years of service in demanding environments.

Components are supplied with steel legs to grade. Concrete foundations hold the legs and support the components.

Steeply sloped bin walls and a self-relieving discharge openings keep materials flowing freely. Radial discharge gates are easy to adjust, even while the bins are full. Options include bin vibrators, bar grizzlies and bin dividers. Relocatable and stationary units can also be outfitted with optional leg extensions, collecting conveyor extensions and bin wall extensions. Portable and relocatable units are pre-wired in conduit.

Portable units usually have from three to five bins. They have air-bag suspensions and foundations with leveling screw jacks. No concrete foundations are required. The units also come with a hinged steel plate bulk head to retain the loader ramp. Complete running gear is included.

Heavy-duty stationary and relocatable cold feed units have one to six bins. Legs on stationary bins bolt onto concrete foundations. Relocatable units have built-in steel skid foundations and steel bulkheads.
